I quite like it when a player sticks with a number, Tevez - 32 being a good example.

I couldn't even tell you more than 4/5 players numbers, as I never look at them when they're running around.

A number probably doesn't make anybody play better but I think it always looks a bit shit when the squad numbers creep up over 25.
But no, it shouldn't make a difference...

In the whole scheme of things it's not really that important but I kind of know what the original post is getting at...
I think the best players should wear the so called mythical traditional numbered shirts...although it's not vitally important - it's a nice touch
However, Jarvis has the number 7 shirt so Payet or Lanzini will have to wait
